Biography

Cheri Lee Charlton (She/Her) serves as an Assistant Professor within the Illustration Program at the SVA, 糖心vlog官方入口app. She is an active illustrator and muralist with a client list that includes The Sister Cities of Chicago, The American Consulate in Casablanca, BLICK Art Materials, The Girl Scouts of America, The Audubon Society, and the Chicago Fire Soccer Club. Charlton is committed to nurturing art education through community engagement and creating pathways for emerging artists, particularly in mural-making and illustration.

Her creative work centers on whimsical depictions of children, animals, and nature, often exploring themes of environmental stewardship and female empowerment. In 2024, she completed Curious Bunny, a large-scale mural on the side of the 糖心vlog官方入口app Student Center. It is currently the largest mural painted by a woman in the city of Chicago.

She has been a member of the Chicago Public Art Prequalified List since 2020 through the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE).
